Streptomyces luridiscabiei sp. nov., Streptomyces puniciscabiei sp. nov. and Streptomyces niveiscabiei sp. nov., which cause potato common scab disease in Korea.
Three plant-pathogenic isolates of Streptomyces spp., isolated from potatoes with common scab disease lesions in Korea, are described as novel species. Morphological and physiological properties of these isolates were distinct from those of previously described Streptomyces species. Strain S63(T) has yellow-white, smooth, cylindrical spores that are borne in monoverticillus flexuous spore-chain...
متن کاملStreptomyces fenghuangensis sp. nov., isolated from seawater.
An actinomycete, designated strain GIMN4.003(T), was isolated from seawater collected in Sanya, China. It produced white aerial mycelium and yellow substrate mycelium on Gause's synthetic agar medium no. 1. The substrate mycelium colour was not sensitive to pH. Scanning electron microscopy observations revealed that GIMN4.003(T) produced straight to flexuous spore chains of rough to warty spore...
متن کاملStreptomyces jietaisiensis sp. nov., isolated from soil in northern China.
An actinomycete, strain FXJ46(T), was isolated from cypress forest soil in northern China and shown to have chemotaxonomic and morphological properties consistent with streptomycetes. It developed greyish aerial mycelium and pinkish-brown substrate mycelium on oatmeal agar. Phylogenetic analyses based on an almost complete 16S rRNA gene sequence of the strain and on the 120 nucleotide variable ...
متن کاملStreptomyces costaricanus sp. nov., isolated from nematode-suppressive soil.
A new bacterial strain, strain CR-43T (T = type strain), which was isolated from tropical soil and was previously shown to have antinematodal and antibiotic properties, is described. The name Streptomyces costaricanus is proposed for this organism. The generic placement of strain CR-43T was based on its typical morphology, its production of LL-diaminopimelic acid, and its fatty acid composition...
متن کاملIsostreptazolin and sannaphenol, two new metabolites from Streptomyces sannanensis.
Two new compounds, isostreptazolin (1) and sannaphenol (2), were isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces sannanensis and their structures elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR as well as MS, IR and UV spectroscopic data analysis. The cytotoxic activity of 1 and 2 were evaluated. Both compounds were inactive against H460 and HeLa cell lines at 100 mM.
